Who uses it? Methamphetamine appeals to people who wish to stay awake for extended periods of time and maintain their performance ability, for example, long-distance drivers and students. It is also used by party drug users, intravenous drug users and is popular among men who have sex with men.

Methamphetamine is an addictive stimulant drug that strongly activates certain systems in the brain. Methamphetamine is closely related chemically to amphetamine, but the central nervous system effects of methamphetamines are greater.
